Within 17 days, Black Panther exceeds $500m mark in theatres

 
This weekend, Marvel Studio’s blockbuster, Black Panther, made another $65m.
The film has now raked in over $500m after just 17 days in theatres, making it the 10th highest-domestic-grossing movie in history.

Aboderin-Talabi unveils maiden Nigerian children’s picture books

 

Children’s literature on this side of the globe received an unexpected boost last Tuesday when publisher and founder of Clever Clogs publishing company, Mrs. Olubunmi Aboderin-Talabi, unveiled three Nigerian-themed children picture books at a ceremony held in Lagos.

The picture books, reviewed at the event by popular standup comedian, Ali Baba, and prominent educationist, Mrs. Ekua Abudu, are titled, Tobi Visits The Conservatory, Kob the Antelope and Diary of A Toddler, respectively.

In a tweet that appears to mock the 90th Oscars which held on Sunday, President Donald Trump has said it was the lowest-rated Oscars in history.
The reason, he says, is because there are no stars anymore; putting himself up as the superstar of all times.
He quickly adds, though, that he was merely joking about his own super stardom.

Singer announces dissolution of EME as a record label

He said the label has been dissolved since January 2017 as a result of the structuring of EME.

After nine years of "helping discover/boost the careers" many artistes in the Nigeria's music industry, the singer and actor said it became necessary to shutdown the label.

British-Nigerian actor says Wizkid's 'Daddy Yo' will feature in upcoming Hollywood movie

 

British-Nigerian actor John Boyega has revealed that Wizkid's 'Daddy Yo' will be used as soundtrack in his forthcoming movie, "Pacific Rim Uprising."

Boyega, who was one of the casts of "Star Wars," disclosed this on his Twitter page as he shared a video of him dancing to the hit song.
